WELCOME TO THE BEST WEBSITE OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING!
Engineering,
in simple words is the art of applying the technical and scientific knowledge
to practical or real life problems. Engineering is done in various disciplines
each offering a targeted approach towards a particular field. And one of those
disciplines or branches is ‘ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING’.
Electrical
engineering is a branch of engineering that deals with the study and
application of electricity; the equipment used for power generation,
distribution and transmission and the control of machines helpful in bringing
domestic, industrial and commercial advancements in our lives.
Electrical
engineering became an identifiable occupation in the latter half of the 19th
century after commercialization of the electric telegraph, the telephone, and
electric power distribution and use. Since then, we have observed blazing
advancements in this field. With the invention of diodes and transistors;
emerged a new era of more efficient and reliable electrical systems.
Electrical
engineering has now subdivided into a wide range of subfields including
electronics, digital computers, power engineering, telecommunications, control
systems, radio-frequency engineering, signal processing, instrumentation and
microelectronics.
Electrical
engineers work on a wide range of components, devices and systems, from tiny
microchips to huge power station generators. They work in a wide range of
industries and require skills ranging from managing a small basic circuit to
management of a project as a project manager. They design, develop, test and
supervise the deployment of electrical and electronic systems.
But let us
not forget the outstanding works done by earlier scientists and engineers. Some
of the great pioneers of this field include Benjamin Franklin, Alessandro
Volta, Georg Simon Ohm, Michael Faraday, Gustav Robert Kirchhoff, James Clarke
Maxwell, Thomas Alva Edison, John Ambrose Fleming, Nikola Tesla and many
more….. . The contribution of these men
to this world is invaluable. The world which we see today is the result of the
rational and futuristic thinking of these extraordinary people.
We live in a
world where power and energy are the major driving forces. The ever increasing
demand of power and energy has pushed us to find newer and newer sources of
energy. We know that it would be very difficult for this world to survive without
power. Thus, we are in constant search of finding sources that can provide us
endless energy. While we are shifting from conventional to non-conventional
sources of energy; still major part of our energy is produced from conventional
ones. One good substitute to this problem of ours is – Nuclear Power. Nuclear
fusion and fission techniques can provide surplus amounts of energy to us if we
can design equipment’s required for effective controlling of these reactions.
One thing
that is certain about the future of Electrical Engineering is that – It’s
AWESOME!
In the near
future, the world will witness a more smart and interactive environment than it
has ever seen and this all would happen with the advancements in electrical and
electronics engineering.
Learning
from the past, living in the present and imagining about the future of this
world, I am damn sure the world will not be the same place it was a century
ago, and I am super-excited to see what happens in the future!
